How do I introduce a photographer like parker J Pfizer of parkerpfister.com with the kind of portfolio and reputation he has? Preparing for this interview I find I'm in awe of what he's produced… his creativity and skill.
So instead of describing his photography, his awards and achievements, I thought I'd give you a glimpse into his personality.
I received this email from Parker when setting up the interview. I think it's quite revealing. He says…
BTW, most of my serious work is at parkerjpfister.com
My wedding and portrait work is at parkerjphoto.com
You will see the difference I think. LOL
Hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did and walk away with the same message I heard… get inspired and go create your own photography portfolio.

I see lines and light and I just want to create just that. That’s all they are to me is this geometric shape that is interesting and it’s kind of the human form but it’s kind of hard too, which the human form isn’t at all – Parker J Pfister

Fantastic interview! I’m an avid podcast listener and this interview with Parker was just fantastic. The guy is just the real deal, doesn’t seem to put on any fake faces…what you see is what you get. I’m so thankful for this interview because in it I saw and learned much about myself. Being a creative can be really difficult at times….but it’s reassuring to know that there are others out there that face the same day to day joys and struggles.
Thanks Parker for being so dang open…and thanks Andrew for getting him on here and helping us better understand out creative side.
Hey Steve – fantastic to read your comments and how helpful the interview was for you personally.
Totally agree with your thoughts on Parker being the “real deal!”
What a great interview (again!) Thanks for finding Parker, I would not have found him by myself. His work is so tactile, I know I can’t actually touch it but it feels like I can… Anyway.. a lot of the things he said really resonated with me. I just gave a presentation of my work to a networking group. It was all prints which i had done myself, all sitting in a box hidden and I just thought, you know what? i’m going to get them out and show them today and i don’t care what these people think. It went really well, everyone said how different it was to be shown images that way. Not only did it say something about me because they were my own personal work but I think maybe people have forgotten how to see photographs because screens have taken over and there’s a real magic in an actual print, especially the really big ones!
Thanks Andrew, you do the best podcasts! and thanks to Parker for sharing:)
Wow, what a great story Alex! And how rare i would be for anyone at ant presentation today, to have prints handed around. Such a great idea and a courageous to do something out of the norm, something different.
Love that you enjoyed the interview and I can’t take the credit for discovering Parker… a listener told me I absolutely had to try and get him on the show. As soon as I saw Parker’s work, I knew that listener was spot on!
Thanks for adding your comments and sharing your experience Alex. And for your kind words.
