Dave and Angela of Danae Studios have a unique way of utilising third party marketing that is working better than any other style of marketing I've heard – it feels like third party photography marketing on steroids! I wasn't sure if it was the concept, the delivery, the follow up process, their approach to pre shoot consultations and sales or their photography. This interview was the first chance I was able to find out.
I met Dave and Angela at a photography workshop in Melbourne a couple of years ago. We got chatting over dinner and I was intrigued by the marketing method they were using to book portrait sessions so consistently. I wanted to learn more at the time but being surrounded by noisy photographers, great food, wine and beer meant there were just too many distractions to have a proper conversation.
Since then, I've had a standing invitation to have both Dave and Angela on the podcast. Finally, the stars aligned and we were able to record this candid interview on their strategy and processes.
A little background about the Landua's…
They own and operate Danae Studios in the Gippsland area – not far from Melbourne, Australia.
They were both photographers before they met. After falling in love, they were married in 2014 and combined their individual businesses to form Danae Studios, Danae Commercial and The Hashtag Lab.

iTunes Reviews and Shout-outs
Each week I check for any new iTunes reviews and it's always a buzz to receive these… for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, it's confirmation that I'm on the right track with the interviews and that they really are helping you improve your photography business. That's awesome!
Secondly, iTunes is the biggest search engine when it comes to podcasts and it's your reviews and ratings that help other photographers find PhotoBizX. More listeners means more interviews and ultimately a better show.
If you have left a review in the past, thank you!
If you haven't and you'd like to, head to https://photobizx.com/itunes and you can leave some honest feedback and a rating which will help both me and the show and I'll be sure to thank you on the show and add a link to your website or blog if you let me know the URL of your website and your name.
Alternatively, if you've left a review for PhotoBizX and are looking for more backlinks to help your SEO, leave a review for the new Photography Xperiment Podcast and email me your key words or keyword phrase and where you'd like me to link to.

At the point where you are going sit clients down to talk to them, if at that point they can see you are professional or heading towards professional, you should be okay but pricing needs to match. – Dave Landua
