Sam Coral of www.samcoralphoto.com was scheduled to take part in the coaching diaries series of interviews, coming up in early 2021, where I interview photographers who have recently started working with a photography business coach.

The idea is to explore what it's like to work with a photography business coach – the costs, the onboarding process, how they learn – via zoom, a FB Group, email, online classes, guarantees, expectations, and most importantly, results.

In this case, pet photographer Sam had recently signed up with Julie Christie and is part of her Togs In Business photography coaching Group. I was excited to learn more.

Then…

I learned she'd also had coaching from Mark Rossetto and it felt like lines would be blurred between who taught what.

The thing is, this Canadian based pet photographer looks to be kicking goals in her photography business, and I didn't want to pass up the chance to learn more about what she's doing and how it really is all going.

So in this interview, Sam shares how she is making her strategic transition from full-time employment to full-time pet photography by utilising what she's learning from the TOGS In Business training.

In particular, we go into detail on a single giveaway promotion Sam has recently completed, which generated almost 12 months of dog photography clients for her. Yes, 12 months worth of work from a single promotion she learnt from Julie.

Plus, you should have an idea if you can also grow your photography business faster with coaching.

Even when things don't work for me, I don't get upset about it. It's just like, “Okay, that didn't work. This is why. I'll try something new and see what happens.” – Sam Coral

Without a strategy, I wasted more time because some of the stuff didn't work that I was doing, and it was harder to measure what was working and what wasn't because I was just kind of flying by the seat of my pants on stuff. – Sam Coral
