Eric Ronald of www.ericronald.net is an Aussie-based wedding photographer. Not just any wedding photographer, though — his work cuts through the noise and stands out as something special.

He jumped into film school after completing high school and learnt the skills to become a cinematographer. But things in that world weren't what he imagined. He found his way onto television and worked on shows including Deal or No Deal, Dancing with Stars, Australia's Got Talent and many others.

Ten years later, he quit TV, bought a camera and travelled for a year.

From there, a love of photography was born, and he found his way into wedding photography, where he's been able to create dramatic and emotive stories for his couples ever since. Once you see his work, it's no wonder he's been so highly awarded for his wedding albums.

In this interview, Eric shares exactly how to run a profitable and successful wedding photography business by correctly structuring your prices and delivering an incredible experience. Plus, how to quickly design and sell wedding albums today.

Here's some more of what we covered in the interview:

Because I'm comfortable with my pricing, I don't really care what couples choose from a money point of view. I am just wanting to make sure the day is captured how I feel it should be captured. – Eric Ronald

iTunes Reviews and Shout-outs

Each week I check for any new iTunes or Google reviews, and it's always a buzz to receive these… for several reasons.

Firstly, it's confirmation that I'm on the right track with the interviews and that they really are helping you improve your photography business. That's awesome!

Secondly, iTunes and Google are the biggest search engine when it comes to podcasts, and it's your reviews and ratings that help other photographers find PhotoBizX. More listeners mean more interviews and, ultimately, a better show.

If you have left a review in the past, thank you! If you haven't and you'd like to, head to https://photobizx.com/itunes or https://photobizx.com/google, and you can leave some honest feedback and a rating which will help both me and the show, and I'll be sure to thank you on the show and add a link to your website or blog if you let me know the URL of your website and your name.

Alternatively, if you've left a review for PhotoBizX and are looking for more backlinks to help your SEO, leave a review for the new Photography Xperiment Podcast and email me your keywords or keyword phrase and where you'd like me to link to.

You don't need fancy destinations to make beautiful photos. You could hypothetically create the greatest wedding photograph ever made in the burbs, in Melbourne. There is no reason that is impossible. – Eric Ronald

Another great way to get a backlink to your site is to send a video testimonial. It doesn't need to be fancy, and your phone will be perfect. Click record and tell me how PhotoBizX has impacted you and your photography business.

★★★★★ It’s like I’ve discovered a whole new world! Simply brilliant!

Via Google Reviews by Scania family, children and newborn photographer Agnieszka Tünnissen, in Sweden on January 6, 2023.

Andrews’s podcast has been recommended to me by a fellow photographer. She told me about that website where you get to be a member for 30 days for free, and you can listen to the host interviewing different photographers about their photography businesses.
I registered but honestly, I never used that free 30 days because I was too busy with my life. Well, it was December, and I forgot to cancel the automatic PayPal charges, so I was a bit annoyed when I saw that I got charged $20 for something I didn’t even know.

So I took a few minutes one morning to investigate that PhotoBizX website. Just to get some value for the money I just paid, I thought. I was ready to cancel at the end of this month, but then I started listening to the interviews (finally!)…That was three days ago or so, but I’m hooked!

The interviews are my favourite to listen to when I edit or when I do other work. They’re just the best! Andrew really asks his guests questions that everyone wants to ask, whether it’s a celebrity photographer, a business coach, or a newborn photographer – each interview is packed with useful information.
I love, LOVE listening to interviews conducted so well and often with a dose of humour. And I’ve already been spending…I mean investing my money in the courses offered to premium members!

Now I only need a parallel life for all this. It’s like I’ve discovered a whole new world! Simply brilliant!

If you’ve gone through this saga, go to Andrew’s website, do yourself a favour and register for the membership. And thank me later. ?

Good design, I feel like, should be about celebrating the photography rather than being about the design itself. – Eric Ronald
