Alishba Kzar of www.dreamboudoirphotography.com has built the most successful boudoir photography business I know of. In part one of this two-part interview, Alishba shares how she came to settle on the boudoir photography genre and why following photography business coaches was a total waste of time. It wasn't until she started forging her own way, did she discover real success.

Alishba has been a PhotoBizX Premium member since 2017… in October 2018 I received this PM from her…

Hey Andrew!

Anita Watkins' post [inside the members Facebook Group] prompted me to thank you as well — for being such a REAL guide.

I made some changes in my business model in September and I’m super happy to report that by December, I will have made $40k, at the bare minimum. And it keeps multiplying.

I’m finally able to love my work and not feel like crying because I can’t monetise with something I love to create.

So, again, thank you! ?

I immediately wrote back, congratulated her and suggested an interview for the podcast – I wanted to learn more and share Alishba's success with you.

Alishba replied…

I want to give it a few more months in order to report consistently making $10k-$20k/month. haha

Then in January 2019, I received another PM…

Hey Andrew! Happy new year!

I am in happy tears as I write this. My business is 100% sustainable! It has crossed the threshold I had set to measure success!

My projected gross revenue for this year is $250K CAD.

Following that message, we scheduled and recorded this interview which turned into a two-part recording. The first focussed on how Alishba got to where she is now and the second, focused on the actual marketing tactics, strategies and sales approach she is using.

Here’s some more of what we cover in the interview:

Genuinely the Best Photography Business Podcast Out There!

In iTunes by Irish wedding and elopement photographer, Iain Irwin in the UK on April 9, 2019

This is the most informative photography business podcast I have ever found.

I stumbled across this Podcast around four months ago and it changed everything in my business for me.

Andrew and his guests have inspired & challenged me to be a better photographer and business owner. Week after week he covers topic after topic that's relevant and incredibly practical.

Being frank, I have made money in ways I didn't even think I could thanks to Andrew's straight to the point questioning and clear desire to help his listeners.

The small investment to become a premium listener is more than worth it when I look at the money I have made in return recently.

Personally, I love how he can tell if a guest speaker isn't being real or honest, and often he'll keep asking them the questions we all want to know and push them to the truth – whilst still being the nicest host ever. Aside from the podcast, I have never really felt safe to input and comment in a Facebook Group before I joined the Photobizx Premium members group. Honestly, there's so much gold in there from the Photobizx community – it on its own is worth it due to the things you'll learn from one another.

Thank you for all you do Andrew. Genuinely the best & most professional Photography business podcast out there. Hope this encourages you to keep going. Big thanks!

A powerful resource for all photographers

In iTunes by Savannah newborn photographer, Katerina & Damien of Truly, Madly, Deeply in the USA on April 20, 2019

We enter into photography businesses full of hope, excitement and passion for our art. Then, inevitably, we get bogged down by the daily challenges of running a small business and a relentless to-do list. It can be frustrating. It can be overwhelming. And, at times it can be a little demoralizing.

The PhotoBizX podcast is the antidote.

Andrew's guests are fountains of knowledge, which Andrew draws out of them to help the listener understand how proven business techniques can be applied to your photography business.

I am inspired and invigorated by every episode. I cannot recommend this podcast highly enough for any photographer and/or photography business owner.
